What is that? It is the amazing tradition they have in Iceland where you give your loved one books, they get you books, and you spend Christmas Eve reading together. Like many things it has a double meaning, It’s also a season – the season of newly published books, a fancy catalog gets distributed to Icelanders so they can select books to buy for loved ones. Traditionally in Iceland they stick to paper format books. I love seeing that books are a priority in Iceland and wish it was that way here.   Here is a nice article about the tradition of  Jólabókaflóð.
