The Art Forger by B.A. Shapiro is a clever mystery revolving around a Boston art heist that took place years earlier in 1990 and Claire who makes her living reproducing famous works of art for an online retailer. Claire is struggling with the tug of war between having to work and having time to create. Until she gets an offer from a powerful gallery owner that would put her in a moral tug of war as she would be able to show her art in the exclusive gallery, but only if she successfully creates a forgery of one of the paintings that was stolen in the 1990 heist. This mystery has twists and turns and the writing is delightful and delicious.
