The favorite color category is the free space on the bingo board of the 2018 Reading Challenge.  With that said, I’m a sucker for a good book cover, despite the age old adage not to judge a book by its cover.

Every time we scan our online or real-life bookshelves, for what to read next, we are influenced by the covers.   A book cover conveys an expectation of what kind of book you’ll find inside as well as tempting you to read the blurb on the back or inside jacket.

I find it fascinating how the same book released in different countries or after translation will have a similar cover but the colors, fonts or imaging is different.
