Outlander – 2018 Reading Challenge Suggestion

Outlander – 2018 Reading Challenge Suggestion

If you’ve survived your 20s you might have had to choose between two people to date.  Imagine that scenario but escalated to choosing between two different time periods.

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon would be an excellent choice for the following categories in the 2018 reading challenge:  The Big Bad as it comes in at 850 pages, Noteworthy and Acclaimed for being a RITA Award for best romance in 1991, Time Warp for historical fiction/science fiction/time travel, It’s All about the Destination for being set in Scotland, First thing First for being the first book in a series,  Finding Love, for being a romance, Hidden in Plain Sight, if you’ve been procrastinating jumping into this series because of the size of the book or if historical fiction/science fiction makes you a little apprehensive.

Fair warning, this is the first book in a series that is currently on-going, at the present moment 8 novels are completed.  Click here for a complete list of books and novellas in series.

For 2018, I’ll be working on catching up in this series by reading Voyager the third in the series.  It’s also been adapted into a television series on Starz.  What books are your favorite adaptations?  Feel free to contribute to the conversation on the paperfruit facebook page.
