Weekly Reading Wrap Up
Starting off the year strong these were this weeks favorites.
The Family Game by Catherine Steadman
This was a twisty thriller involving the main character is meeting the in-laws and there are some things she hasn’t worked out about the family she is about to marry into. I loved this for a fast paced read to kick off the new year.
Anxious People by Fredrik Backman
This was delightful. It was a story about a robbery gone wrong, about humanity, about grief and love and life. It’s better to go into this one blind. The audiobook was a great performance.
Falling by T.J Newman
This was the movie Speed, but on an airplane with higher stakes and a more political motive. This was great. If you liked The Last Flight by Julie Clark or The Escape Artist by Brad Meltzer; Falling is worth checking out.
The 22 Murders of Madison May by Max Barry
This book was okay, it was like ground hogs day + murder she wrote + anything by Blake Crouch. poor Madison has a stalker in the multiverse and keeps dying over and over again.
Bygone Badass Broads by Mackenzi Lee
This was fun. It was a book providing the brief bios of 52 amazing and forgotten women in history. It read like a series of tweets with humor and a down-to-earth voice. This was educational and fun to read through.
